Overview
My role has been helping the team to improve their platform Fingertips, here I present the work done around their Home page.
The performance was quite low, the user perceived it as very busy as there was a lack of consistency. This was a whole area to be research and developed which would benefit the customer and the business through the website.

Opportunity

Redesign home page , with this objectives:
Ensuring that has a great usability and legibility
Removing frictions that currently has ( request access, FAQs )
Primary actions are: request access to app, access an app, view all apps, ask for support.
Research
Looking to the GA stats, we saw that the page retention was low and some interactions were not being used. We used Hotjar to gather more insights, help us to find evidence around the performance of the pages. Based with some hypothesis we did some User testing to find problem evidence,  validate some new designs, content, components, behaviour.
Solution
After knowing the pain points from research. We created a responsive home which invited the user to learn about Fingertips, with a clean and sleek style aligned with the brand.
We also brought consistency with the interaction patterns.
In terms of the execution and development, it was created much quicker, as we started to use the live Design System Library, the main components where used in other Fingertips applications.

Process
We did some User Research, run some user testing to 6 participants to find out frictions and how they were using the tool. We filtered the feedback, iterated a couple of times the prototype.
My role was to lead the UX Research, conduct the remote testing, prepare the prototype using Invisionapp, collate feedback and iterate the designs.
I was also involved in the UI Designs, helped the team to create new components, and prepare the Visual design of the Home page. Below you can see the end results.
