I'm Karen Newton, I have been working as a designer for more than ten years. I have been learning the craft of making websites and apps.
I have been working as a UX designer for the last six years, and a special focus in User Research, Lean UX, Design Thinking for the last four years.
I enjoy understanding and learning about the customers, anything that can help to design and deliver a successful experience or service.
With a background in Industrial Design. I soon swap to the digital world as a Web designer, combining the skills of Visual Communication & Code, Markup and Javascript libraries.
One of my strength is my technical background, worked with many CMS, specially Drupal and Wordpress I learnt how to create bespoke themes and prepare the code.
Nowadays I love React and all the possibilities.
A bit about my character
Regarding my character, recently a Disc test indicated me as a IS style. Warm and sociable person who reaches out to others with friendly, laidback approach. I tend to view everyone as a potential friend, open communication style often puts other at ease.
Because I care about other people's needs, I often encourage them to share their feelings. I know the right questions to ask to get people open up. My supportive nature allows me to both sympathise with people who are struggling and to celebrate with others during their finest moments.
Since I enjoy cooperating with others, I drawn to projects where I can collaborate, I will do the best to ensure everyone has a chance to contribute and be recognised.

You will find me... Learning about gardening and landscaping.
Meeting some friends to talk and catch up.
